Don Domingo de don Blas relata la historia de Don GarcÃa, el hijo rebelde de Alfonso III, quien, tras ser el nuevo rey de León, promueve a la privanza a don Domingo. En esta comedia de Juan Ruiz de Alarcón el personaje hace comentarios muy agudos y satiriza las costumbres en una reflexión sin precedentes sobre el poder en la España medieval. En la trama mezcla enredo amoroso con circunstancias históricas.
Esta pieza teatral también se le conoce con los nombres de No hay mal que por bien no venga y El acomodado don Domingo de don Blas. Su escritura y su estilo delatan, sin duda, que se trata de una obra de Alarcón. No se conoce a ciencia cierta por qué no se publicó en sus comedias. Tampoco se sabe cuándo vio la luz, aunque se conjetura que fue escrita antes de 1630.
