Este es un cuento de terror y a la vez fantástico. Se desarrolla en un palacio con grandes jardines en el que vivía la condesa Carlota y su hija, Beatriz. Carlota era muy devota y tenia su propio capellán que se llamaba Fray Angel. La condesa tenia una gran pena porque pensaba que su hija estaba poseída por el demonio. Entonces le dijo al capellán que fuese a buscar a una saludadora. El capellán dudaba en hacerlo pero al final fue a buscar a una. Mientras el capellán iba a buscarla, un canónigo intentaba exorcizar a Beatriz. El canónigo penso que Beatriz no estaba poseída y se lo dijo a la condesa. También le dijo que su hija le había confesado que Fray Angel había abusado de ella. A media noche llegó la saludadora y le dijo que había tenido un sueño y vino a sanar a Beatriz. Según ella Beatriz estaba embrujada. La condesa le ordenó condenar a Fray Angel y al día siguiente este apareció muerto.
