El sicario ha sido una figura protagónica de la realidad social colombiana de las últimas décadas. La excesiva violencia en sus diferentes formas ha dado como resultado una sociedad acostumbrada a la presencia de los asesinos a sueldo. Asimismo, dentro de la literatura y la ficción, los sicarios se han convertido en personajes protagónicos en buena parte de la narrativa reciente. De hecho, es posible hablar de un movimiento literario gracias a las diferentes novelas, crónicas y testimonios escritos en torno a estos personajes. Este libro explora entonces las representaciones del sicario en la narrativa colombiana durante las últimas décadas. Desde un estudio narratológico y crítico, se expone porqué esta narrativa es tan importante para la identidad literaria colombiana de los últimos tiempos. Para estudiar las diferentes obras, el autor usa enfoques teóricos como los de Gérard Genette y Mikhail Bakhtin, a la vez que propone una lectura propia de la narrativa del sicario.
