A lo largo del libro, el autor recorre las ideas de Hobbes, Kant, Johan Galtung, Gandhi, Martin Luther King, Nelson Mandela, Dom Hélder Câmara y numerosos pensadores que transformaron la manera de comprender la paz.
La obra analiza algunos de los principales conflictos históricos, estudia casos contemporáneos como Venezuela, África y las tensiones geopolíticas del siglo XXI, examina críticamente las grandes ideologías políticas y propone un enfoque integrador basado en tres pilares fundamentales:
- Justicia.
- Libertad.
- Dignidad humana.
Desde una mirada humanista y multidisciplinaria, el libro sostiene que ninguna paz puede construirse únicamente mediante el poder militar ni únicamente mediante ideales abstractos; requiere instituciones sólidas, memoria histórica, cooperación internacional y una ética compartida capaz de respetar la diversidad cultural de los pueblos.
