In this children's picture book, readers will explore the joys of caring for a pet, the trials of loss and change, and the lessons learned in the journey of life.
When Bradley was just four years old, he wanted to have his very own pet. One day, Bradley's father brought home an adorable little goldfish, and the two became the best of friends. Bradley's goldfish lived with him in his room, and Bradley took great care of his friend, making sure he always had clean water and good food to eat.
But one night, when Bradley was getting ready for bed, something happened. The next morning would begin a new journey that would deepen Bradley's understanding of friendship and life.
Life can change in an instant, even when we're very young. In this beautiful picture book, Sonny Side Up, readers will learn the reality that those changes may not always be within our control, but that we can learn from them. By placing ourselves in others' shoes, we can gain the wisdom that helps us find our own peace.
Follow along with Bradley as he learns that the care he puts into loving a friend matters, even if our friends and loved ones can't stay with us forever. The lessons we learn along the way give us the strength to handle what life sends our way, even if things don't go the way we hope or expect.
This book is written for children ages three to nine, especially those who understand what it's like to go through a major life-changing event. It is a powerful reminder that our love and effort are never lost, no matter what.
