Sleuths, Snoops and Surprises is a picture book for children aged between three and seven. The two main characters are spies who usually work together in the same spy ring, but recently one of them, Mr Sleuth, has been sneaking off alone. The story follows the other spy, Mr Snoop, on his mission to discover what his friend is plotting. Mr Snoop's methods, in particular his disguises, provide humour and will make children laugh. The repetition used to introduce the disguises gives children the chance to join in the storytelling. This is a book that will engage children and can be read over and over again. There are many opportunities for book based play because it features simple spy tricks that children can try themselves.
