Simon, the Sweet-Smelling Skunk takes place on a fictional animal farm called Wonderwood Acres. Simon is a young skunk anticipating the start of Skunk School. Simon is just like all the other skunks- almost: he has a sleek black coat, a beautiful white stripe- but he cannot make foul odors. No matter how hard he tries, Simon smells like a bouquet of flowers. With the first day of Skunk School just around the corner, Simon is worried. How will he ever fit in when his spray has more flower than power? He tries studying the art of smelling bad. He then enlists the help of the pigs on the farm who are known for their stinky mud. His father encourages him to just be himself and while he appreciates the advice, he still worries about fitting in.
