Retired and haunted, Zinhle Zee Dlamini is reluctantly dragged back into investigation when a crucified body is found outside Mbombela. What first seems like just another brutal murder pulls Zee into the heart of deep systemic corruption, tied to the Cain Circle, a secret syndicate built on stolen land, ritual killings, and post-apartheid political cover-ups.
Zee's strange gift-hearing the echoes in silence-lets her uncover buried testimonies and ghostly traces hidden in old recordings. Her story reveals a sinister conspiracy: influential people, including the charismatic Sipho Sibeko, are wiping entire communities off the map under the pretence of 'ancestral restoration.'
