Humanity is split into two camps - the plebs and the Islanders.
Relegated to centralised city states (PlebZones) the plebs live in their own home (a personal entertainment hub complete with E-Wall and Sim Room) and pay for entertainment using 'links' - a digital currency which is topped up weekly.
The Islanders' lives couldn't be more different. Afforded many freedoms and a life of leisure they are the elite who live off-shore on artificial islands.
Through a strange woman with wild red hair, Billy Sennheiser (a pleb) learns of the world outside the PlebZones.
Samantha Byron, an Islander, chosen by renegade genius, Kass Shook, tells Billy he has been chosen too.
Kass - whose grandfather instigated the city centralization and off-shore islands during the enviro-rejuvenation - disappeared years earlier fearing his life was about to be terminated by FIB (Federalised Institute of Banking) - a dangerous institution which runs the world.
Will Kass be able to pull off his plan to save the world, just like his grandfather did all those years ago?
Will Billy take Samantha seriously and support her mission to attack the FIB?
And endure the catastrophic fallout - THE SHOOK EFFECT?
Find out all this and more in this gripping, exciting, and dynamic dystopian future novel.
