It's Shimmerina! She's the Christmas Frost Fairy and this is her story.
(ages 2-8, see additional pages, videos and contact info on the author's page)
The place where fairies live is in the forest. It's called Fayland, where children and fairies play together all day. Shimmerina, the Frost Fairy has put icicles on all the trees in the forest where they shine brightly in the winter sun. But deep in the woods is a Troll named Grumble and he is intent upon putting a stop to all this winter fun. The children have to try to save the day in the end. Shimmerina shows her thanks every Christmas by flying around the world putting tinsel on every Christmas tree and leaving a piece of candy out for every child to find on Christmas morning. Written in rhyming stanzas in the tradition of Dr. Seuss, Shimmerina the Christmas Frost Fairy is sure to please all the little ones in your life. Great as a bedtime story. Great at Christmas time and any time of the year. Brought to life in vivid colors, the characters and art will have your child wanting to read it over and over again.Reviews (humor)
Professor Teapot has done it again! This historically accurate account of Shimmerina's struggle with Grumble the Troll, which ultimately led to the beloved tradition we all now enjoy of putting the tinsel on the tree the night before Christmas and leaving out a piece of candy for each child, is perhaps the best retelling of the tale to date.
- The Fayland Examiner Rumor has it that Shimmerina herself broke out into tears when she first read it. She said it captured the subtle essence of her rise to stardom and the existential crisis that ensued in the wake of Grumble Troll's heinous robbery.
- The New Fairy Times I'd buy it now before an entertainment giant buys the rights and these original copies become much sought after collectors items. I did. Professor Teapot even signed my copy. -Santa Claus
