Shielding Shadows is a fast-paced, emotionally charged thriller exploring the duality of vengeance and patriotism, justice and manipulation, all set against the backdrop of counterterrorism in India.
The story follows Zunaid, a young boy from Srinagar whose life is shattered when his parents are killed in a terrorist attack. Grief-stricken and vulnerable, he is lured across the border into Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where he is brainwashed and reborn as Omar-a weapon forged from pain and hate.
Years later, Omar is entrusted with a massive mission: to sever India's northeast from the mainland through a series of coordinated bombings in Howrah Bridge, Bodh Gaya Temple, Baidhyanath Temple, and Kharagpur railway station. These diversions would allow a final, devastating attack on Bagdogra Air Base.
But just before executing the last step, Omar's world unravels. His team is silently neutralized, and he is captured by Indian special forces. During interrogation, he learns the stunning truth: Indian intelligence had been tracking him from the moment he re-entered the country. They let him operate to expose and lure out Zafar, a high-ranking terrorist hiding in POK.
Omar was never the threat-he was the bait.
Shielding Shadows is a tribute to India's silent warriors and a haunting tale of lost identity, sacrifice, and the unseen battles that safeguard a nation.
