Professor Peter Morehouse, otherwise known as Shark Bait, was a scientist in a research lab. In this lab he was trying to find a cure for brain cancer. Peter, and his partner, were injecting Tiger sharks with different compounds. Then using the mutated tissue to try to kill the cancer cells in human tissue, leaving only healthy brain cells behind. During his research himself, and his beloved shark, Ballem, were mutated. Ballem then freed himself from the Shadow Lab and began feeding on people in the city of Miami. Peter was forced to hunt his beloved shark in hopes of saving the city.
