Pretending to be homeless, Sam soon realises that reality is not for the fainthearted and is both grateful and curious when a teenager helps her out. Her snooping sets off warning bells for the young girl, and Sam finds out how easy it would be to fail her first test.
Stories told in the dark, tears hidden from view, the life of a homeless teenager is nothing like Sam had imagined and her desire for a by-line fades as the danger on the street grows.
