The Rain Saga Trilogy - including the stand-alone, The Emmaville Anomaly, is a future-based (not futuristic) post global societal collapse, technologically-regressive Australian story, inspired by the visions formed from the lyrics of the Jethro Tull song, 'Wond'rin' Again'. The Seed Keeper brings the story from the perspective of the people from The Movement, who reside within walled communities within the six territories of mainland Australia. But in this book we focus more on the territory of Eden - formerly New South Wales. Beyond these communities, seemingly living in the wild, are the people of the clans, whom The Movement regard as the Ferals. Both cultures owe their existence to one of the 105 Insemination Plants throughout the six territories.
We view the majority of this story through the eyes of Catherine and Maxwell Dane, who are recruited in 2273 by the South Eastern Stat Group, leaving the walled community of Parramatta, and venturing to the Principle Community of the Territory of Eden, known as Parkes. Maitland being the South Eastern's first stop out of Parramatta. Destiny awaits Maxwell and Catherine at Parkes. 2086: Fall of DaysOur Insemination Plants, Communities, and survival in general can all be accredited to them. I am sure they have saved us, or at least slowed the inevitable, and, I have to say, none of this would be possible without them. Some say they are responsible for the entire situation in the first place, but from what I have read, I don't agree. They have been so instrumental, we owe them more than we have but they ask for nothing.2273: The youngest people in the known Territory of Eden turn 18 today, as a quest for the awakening of natural reproduction or the last generations of humankind continues.
