Scar, the talking Rottweiler, is back for another adventure. And this time, he's in for a tasty treat and a lesson about Thanksgiving!
One chilly morning, Scar wakes up to commotion in the kitchen. Is someone there?
It's Big Gladys! What is she doing in the kitchen this early in the morning? After a few more hours of sleep, a delicious smell wafts through the air.
Scar knows those smells. Could it be? It's Christmas! But wait - where are the presents? And why does the calendar say November?
Confused and now very hungry, Scar finds his best friend Vida. After pulling the information out of her, Scar discovers it's not Christmas - it's Thanksgiving!
Scar learns more about the holiday, including the delicious foods like pernil and how people gather to share all of the reasons they are thankful.
Scar's Thanksgiving is a relatable and fun non-religious holiday book for kids that the whole family can share. Laugh at Scar's goofiness, imagine the enticing aromas of Thanksgiving at Vida and Scar's home, and reflect on what you're thankful for this year.
Perfect for teachers, parents, children two years and older, and pet owners, Scar's Thanksgiving encourages readers to enjoy their pet companions as they would other members of the family during the holidays.
In this heartwarming, non-religious celebration of Thanksgiving, readers see this classic American festival afresh as they experience it through the unfamiliar and insatiably curious eyes of Scar, the rottweiler.
Scar's Thanksgiving is an endearing holiday read, perfect for dog lovers!
