Scandinavian Immigrants In New York, 1630-1674 is a historical book written by John Oluf Evjen in 1916. The book provides a comprehensive account of the first Scandinavian immigrants who arrived in New York between 1630 and 1674. It covers the social, economic, and cultural aspects of their lives, including their reasons for emigrating, their experiences in the New World, and their contributions to the development of the city. The author draws on a wide range of primary sources, including church records, letters, and diaries, to provide a detailed and insightful portrait of the early Scandinavian community in New York. The book is an invaluable resource for anyone interested in the history of immigration to the United States, particularly those interested in the experiences of Scandinavian immigrants in the 17th century. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations.
