It's almost Christmas, five-year-old Adam's classmates are writing to Santa, but when his friend Amy hands him a piece of paper, he's not sure.
Adam and his friends can't figure out why Santa doesn't visit his house, and he's unsure who this Santa person is. He knows his family is Muslim and they don't celebrate Christmas, but is that why Santa doesn't visit?
From the author of How Big Is Allah? comes a first of its kind, Muslim Children's Christmas Story. Gently reassuring children that their celebrations are special too.
Our children live in a diverse world that can sometimes leave them feeling confused and left out. Santa Who? tells kids they're not alone in not participating in holiday festivities, and that their holidays and celebrations are special too. This Muslim Children's Christmas Story is all about inclusion and validation of your child's place in their diverse environment.
Written by a Muslim author, with respect for Muslims, Islam, the Islamic teachings on Jesus and Chrismas and non-Muslim celebrations, Christianity, children who believe in Santa Claus, and children who ask difficult questions. Santa Who? is the perfect addition to any diverse Muslim and Islamic children's book collection and any diverse Christmas children's book collection. This book does not condone the celebration of non-Muslim holidays in any way.
Themes include Eid, Muslims, Islam, Muslim Children, Own Stories, Hanukkah, Chinese New Year, Diwali, Holidays, School, Friendship, Multicultural classrooms, diversity.
