Rudy Loves is a picture book about an exuberant puppy who loves everything about her new home, but finds that the existing pets aren't so excited to welcome another dog into the family. Will Rudy be able to tone down her excitement and playfulness in order to accommodate the older and smaller dog? Will little Monty learn to adjust his point of view so that Rudy feels welcome? Children who are expecting new siblings, are part of a stepfamily, or are the new kid at school will relate to the emotions felt by the dogs in this story. Based on the experience of the author's own pets, this simple story with its beautiful illustrations is sure to delight children of all ages.
