Peter Harkness is a brilliant prototype engineer, and one of the few humans lucky enough to score a job, at a company that designs automatons. The irony is not lost on him. Peter must determine how, or if, he will deal with the madness around him. Merely crunching numbers won't be enough. A near-future dystopian world, reminiscent of Asimov, Heinlein and the golden age of science fiction.
