An easy read that shows a real understanding of the issues teenagers face, particularly at school among their peers. Through Bella's interactions with her friends and adults around her, it becomes apparent that there are constructive ways of dealing with these problems. The emphasis on positivity and being able to truly listen to others sets the tone throughout the book. Leading us to feel sympathy for Deidre, the troublemaker, adds a deeper dimension to the story. This book will leave teenagers waiting for the next one.- Lynette Hampton (art teacher)

I enjoyed this book and found it quite easy to read. I would like it to be on our reading list at school because I could relate to most of the story. I have just got my first boyfriend.

- Kim Petersen, age: 15 years (English is her second language)

I think this book should be read by everyone in Grade 7 because it will give them an idea of what to expect in the higher grades.

- D. Louw, age: 13 years.

------------------

Bella (short for Isabella) is a high-school student who is crazy about ballet, gets top grades at school, and, most importantly is totally in love with Griffin. It sounds perfect but for one problem! Griffin is the school's first team cricket captain and Bella seriously dislikes cricket. Will Bella and Griffin be able to overcome their differences? Will it be a case of opposites attract? Bella has enough challenges with her first serious relationship, but her world is turned upside down when she starts receiving anonymous notes accusing her boyfriend, Griffin, of cheating. Who could be sending them and more importantly why?

As Bella navigates this crisis, she turns to other relationships, finding support from her family, close friends, and certain teachers.

In Relationships, R.A. Kahn offers a gripping coming-of-age novel that explores the importance of trust, honesty, and self-confidence.

Set in modern-day South Africa, Relationships is a must-read for teenagers aged 10-15 who are looking for a relatable and engaging story. Alongside Bella, readers will learn important lessons about developing inner strength, judging others favorably, and building successful relationships.

With its emphasis on positivity and constructive problem-solving, Relationships is a valuable addition to any reading list. Don't miss out on this action-packed novel that will leave you eager for more from R.A. Kahn.
