There are no do-overs in this earthbound life, but there are start-overs. In this fictional account, the author speaks of the man who adopted him and his two younger siblings after marrying their mother, when he was five years old. The man he grew up knowing as Dad, was a confused, alcoholic with violent tendencies when under the influence and caused much heartache and pain. When the author crossed over the river between and gave his life to the Lord, he eventually forgave his dad, and they were both given a chance to start over. Unfortunately, while the forgiveness is real, the start-over is fictional.
