Rosalynde: Euphues Golden Legacy, Found After His Death In His Cell At Silexedra is a novel written by Thomas Lodge and first published in 1590. The story follows the adventures of Rosalynde, the daughter of a banished Duke, who disguises herself as a man and flees to the Forest of Arden to avoid an unwanted marriage. There, she meets and falls in love with a young man named Ganymede, who is actually the disguised form of the exiled Duke's son. The novel is a pastoral romance, filled with themes of love, friendship, and the beauty of nature. It is also notable for its influence on William Shakespeare's play, As You Like It, which is believed to have been inspired by Lodge's work. This edition of the novel, published in 1902, features an introduction by Edmund Gosse and includes illustrations by Charles E.
