A Nutty Lunchtime Mystery: Crumbs, Clues, and Clever Squirrels
Max's favorite peanut butter sandwich has vanished from his lunchbox! And he's not the only one-all over Oakwood Elementary, students are finding their lunches missing and strange objects left behind: a perfect acorn, a shiny stone, a colorful feather.
There's only one detective team qualified to crack this case: ten-year-old Max and his clever Rottweiler puppy, Rola!
With detective notebooks ready and Rola's keen nose on the trail, they follow a path of crumbs and clues that leads to a surprising discovery-a family of squirrels has been borrowing lunch items and leaving treasures in exchange!
But these aren't ordinary squirrels. Led by Peanut (the father with the distinctive white-patched tail), this family has developed a sophisticated trading system. When Max and his friend Ella realize the squirrels are actually teaching their babies how to find food, the mystery transforms into an opportunity for friendship and learning.
Can Max, Rola, and their classmates create a solution that works for everyone-humans and squirrels alike? Join them in this heartwarming adventure that teaches valuable lessons about:
- Understanding others before judging them
- Creative problem-solving
- Respecting wildlife
- Working together across differences
- The joy of unexpected friendships
Perfect for young readers ages 6-9, this second book in the Rola's Fun Mystery & Adventures Series continues the adventures of the detective duo who first captured hearts in Rola and the Mystery of the Missing Muffins.
Includes a special recipe for Peanut's favorite peanut butter banana sandwich!
