Captain Dustin Penner is involved in a helicopter crash during a military training exercise, which results in the death of his crew. A year later, as he puts his life back together, he's recruited by his former commanding officer as a corporate liaison to the military's new special project: implementing a full-sized autonomous aerial combat system, Zeus' Angel. A machine utilizing artificial intelligence that will test and exceed human pilot limitations. When the machine malfunctions and begins targeting civilians on U.S. soil, Dustin is forced to try and destroy it. As he faces his demons and learns to live with the past, the machine pushes his limits as a pilot beyond anything he could have imagined.
