Every woman has a story. Some are filled with secret desires; some with secrets that must stay hidden. Some that must be told. In RITA, book two of the trilogy, JOURNEY THROUGH DARKNESS, Beatrice has closely guarded the story of the night she almost died at the hands of a masked rapist. Why tell it now after almost twenty years? Rita tells her story to Johanna - and what a story it is. Not understanding her Mother's death, she becomes a quiet withdrawn child, who knows not the ways of the world she has to face alone. Piatra's secret is about her favorite person in the world. In her dreams he is her lover but definitely he is not the man she is to marry. Sybil's secret could easily backfire causing her the indignity of life in an asylum. Will she cooperate with her husband's plan or is he in danger from this tormented woman?
