Revelations of a Spirit Medium is a book written by Harry Price, a well-known British psychic researcher and author. In this book, Price shares his experiences and observations from his investigations into various spiritualist practices and mediums in the early 20th century. The book is divided into three parts. The first part provides an overview of spiritualism and mediumship, including the history and development of these practices. Price also explores the various methods used by mediums to communicate with spirits, such as seances, automatic writing, and trance mediumship. The second part of the book focuses on Price's investigations into several well-known mediums, including Eva C. and Rudi Schneider. Price provides detailed accounts of his observations during seances and other demonstrations, and offers his analysis of the mediums' abilities. The final part of the book is dedicated to Price's own experiments with mediumship. He describes his attempts to communicate with spirits using various methods, including automatic writing and table-turning.Throughout the book, Price offers a critical and skeptical perspective on spiritualism and mediumship. He is quick to point out instances of fraud and deception, and provides alternative explanations for some of the phenomena observed during seances and other demonstrations.Overall, Revelations of a Spirit Medium is a fascinating and informative look at the world of spiritualism and mediumship in the early 20th century, written by one of the foremost experts in the field.1922. Facsimile edition with notes, bibliography, glossary and index. No mere knowledge of magical secrets will ever guarantee the reader from being deceived by fraudulent mediums. Actual acquaintance with practical methods and long experience of the conduct of seances is necessary before he will be able to distinguish the genuine from the fraudulent, and when he finds himself able to discern faintly the line which divides the two he will be in a position to understand more fully the enormous difficulties which confront the investigators of psychical phenomena. It is hoped that the reappearance of this mediumistic classic will whet the reader's appetite and make him eager for still further information. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
