Seeing ugliness I'd frown
I believed I walked on water
as I was next in line to drown

I would exchange it for a lie.
It's more comforting and fancy
Thinking I might never die.

I try to cure procrastination
for it's sweet and runs too deep.
Between stillness and progression
It's with you I'd rather sleep.

In youthful anger and aggression
I have come to be a man
I am thanking my good fortune
That it kept me safe from harm.
