Donese Mayfield has been a therapeutic musician for over fifteen years. She plays harp for hospice patients in medical and home settings going wherever the patient resides. Donese does not simply provide entertainment, but is often called upon to assist with pain management or agitation. Music provides comfort to the patient and often assists in the transition from this life. Frequently, the comfort extends far beyond the patient to encompass the patient's family and caregivers.
