Sit back, relax, and enjoy this pictorial journey back to the magical-and turbulent-1960s. It was a time when culture, society and politics were changing at a rapid pace. And it was the music of Motown that brought people together in a way never before achieved in popular culture. It didn't matter if you were black or white, rich or poor, young or old...we were ALL listening to, dancing to, and buying the music of Motown. Motown provided the soundtrack for the 1960s. This book is a collection of photos taken by Motown fans throughout the years. Because it is based on available photos from those fans willing to share their collections, not all of Motown's artists are represented here. Most of the photos depict Motown artists today, rather than as they appeared in their heyday.
