In a dystopian future, the society of Novimir emerges as an apparently perfect utopia, built on the ruins of a global war that devastated humanity. Governed by a rigid and controlled system, Novimir is a society where citizens are created in laboratories, genetically modified, and conditioned to perform specific roles. Divided into groups such as Sapientes (scientists and leaders), Protectors (military force), Caretakers (doctors), Repairers (maintenance), and Producers (food and supplies), individuals are programmed to live without feelings or emotions that could disrupt social order. The Stwolian Juice, a substance that suppresses emotions, is administered daily to ensure conformity and stability.
Mark is a brilliant young man destined to become the next leader of Novimir. As the President's successor, he is trained to understand the deepest secrets of society. However, as he progresses in his studies, Mark begins to question the truths he has been presented. His curiosity leads him to uncover dark secrets about the creation of Novimir and the role of the Stwolian Juice. The Red storyline revolves around Mark's journey to understand the truth behind the perfect society and his internal struggle between loyalty to the system and the desire for justice.
Meanwhile, Leonard LV06, a genetic engineer responsible for creating Sapient embryos, begins to experience emotions after stopping the Stwolian Juice. His life, once meticulously controlled, is shaken by feelings he cannot comprehend. Leonard develops an intense connection with Alicia XX15, a cold and dedicated Protector whose role is to ensure the security of the laboratory where he works. The Orange storyline explores Leonard's struggle to reconcile his new emotions with society's expectations, as he tries to understand what it means to be human in a world where feelings are forbidden.
Red, the first book in the series, which contains only the chapters White, Red, and Orange, is divided into two interconnected plots: Red, which focuses on Mark's journey, and Orange, which delves into Leonard's story.
