Book 2 in the series Secret Forces Josh has been spending some of his summer holidays at his dad's home in Hawaii. It is their last day together before Josh heads back to England, so his dad decides to make it a special one without any distractions or interruptions. They take a picnic and a small boat and head off to explore the surrounding islands. After a while they find what they believe to be the ideal island to stop at for a picnic. So they pull their boat up, tie it to a tree and head off to explore. It isn't long before they discover that the island isn't so ideal after all and they end up in real trouble. Connections are made through the earth and what happens in one part of the world has serious consequences in the opposite end. Lives are at stake and difficult choices have to be made. Is one life more precious than another? Whose job is it to choose? Will Josh and his dad make it off the island alive?
