It also teaches us we should adopt the nature of forgiveness instead of reprisal, egoism, and anger. Ravana was a learned man but kidnapping Mother Sita caused his downfall. It shows that we burn ourselves in the fire of revenge to harm others. So, forgiveness is a better character than revenge
To win over the evils of society, we need to learn the lessons from Ramayana in modern times.
