The author says of this book, Since 1945 I have collected a wide variety of sayings, letters, essays, poems, and quotes that appealed to me for many reasons, but mostly because they carried significant wisdom, addressed human values and weaknesses, or had humor. Many are very significant life lessons and values. All but the quotes are my own work along with many of the sayings. The quotes are from several hundred different sources. All of the sources and authors are acknowledged except for those marked, unknown or anonymous.
