United States Senators keep dying from natural causes with a short amount of time between deaths. Finally raising some concern from a government organization.
FBI Agent Bartlett is called in to help investigate one of the senators deaths. He discovers that a top secret government organization, that even he doesn't know about is the ones heading the investigation. Bartlett putting the pieces together while at the Senators house he came to help with the investigation, asks the right questions forcing the hand of the top secret organization to unexpectedly pull him in to stay on their investigation. After they send him to start investigating the Senators' houses where the deaths occurred, Bartlett running into peculiar circumstances and sometimes physical altercations.
He starts piecing the broader picture of the investigation together. He questions why and how this is happening?
The top secret government organization with the help of Bartlett and some of their own Agents start getting closer to the cause of what is behind the deaths of the Senators'. The closer they get to finding out who and what is causing the natural deaths. They start facing more resistance trying to stop their investigation. Bartlett finds out who is behind the deaths of the senators and why they are doing it.
He finds himself struggling to deciding which side is the correct side to be on, as Bartlett struggles with his moral compass and what he has been told by his superiors what is the right thing to do.
