How did Florence de l'Aigle come to be on board an infamous brig sailing to New Orleans? Who ordered her kidnapping? Will she survive at the hands of these bloodthirsty pirates? Taken prisoner by these accursed rogues, her maritime epics reveal her unique inner strength. Florence will never stop fighting for her freedom.
A passion for life in a quest for fulfilment.
A historical and committed novel that will give you a thrill... of pleasure! More than an adventure story, it is an ode to freedom.
A word from the author
Pirate Souls is a work of fiction which takes place in 1750. In order to avoid confusion, I have added footnotes to indicate real facts. In addition to this, the novel contains a few anachronisms.Besides the historical details that I have placed in this tale, the novel is not designed for educational purposes. It does not echo the past as it really was. It simply lends a voice to the forgotten souls who have visited me in my dreams. You will have understood that this epic is eminently modern even if it is rooted in the past. In no way do I try to deliver a message which is true. In the same way as Steven, I strive to explore this world in order to understand its contours. Like Florence, I hope to find meaning in my unending quest for freedom. And as do Gwewa and Cook, I try to follow the souls filled with light who show me the way.
