Bienvenidos.
Is it possible to build other images of thought in Latin America? This invitation led us to propose a search towards the past and, at the same time, an opening towards the future. Rather than proposing a 'philosophy of liberation', we invite a liberation of philosophy; before origins or canons, crafts that never hit bottom or hold roots; rather than looking at cultural, Latin American or disciplinary studies, we call for a critique of our own will to find truth from different angles. Rather than looking at forbidden topics --such as violence and uprising-- we propose new ways of thinking about what is socially prohibited. At the same time, the book is an invitation to spread the joy of thought, without nostalgia for what has been lost, open to a fight with no predictable or happy ending: at the end of the day, we might not find a sparkling truth -- truth can also be dark, terrible. But it is not nothing: perhaps we can still think without resentment. Is it possible, then, to have a non-priestly experience, resulting from science that is not sad? Can you think without suffering? We do not know yet. The important thing will be to persist in asking the question. This book is populated with such questions. You are all welcometo it.
