Sometimes growth means learning how to rest without feeling guilty. It can mean recognizing that you are tired before your body has to force you to stop, allowing somebody else to take care of you, or understanding that loving someone does not automatically mean they belong in your life. Growth can mean recognizing that somebody loving you doesn't automatically mean they know how to love you well. It can look like deciding that peace is worth more than proving your point or simply getting through a difficult season without allowing that season to turn you into somebody you don't want to become.

Those things don't come with certificates. Nobody throws you a party because you finally stopped arguing with people committed to misunderstanding you. Nobody sends flowers because you learned to say no without writing three paragraphs explaining yourself. There probably won't be applause when you learn to sit still, ask for help, leave something unhealthy, or stop chasing people. Yet those things matter because they are evidence that something inside you is changing.
