The Physics of Why is a series of three novellas loosely connected by the same two souls crossing paths, and by a mysterious energy called Y. The stories blend eastern and western concepts of love, science and religion, while occasionally wandering into fields of humor and pastures of social commentary.
The first tale is a cross-the-tracks romance between two kids in 16th century India, beset by manipulative, political forces.
The second recounts the adventures of a modern day physicist whose professional search for dark matter, his private investigation of his own dreams, and his personal yearning for acceptance, all lead him to something and someone and somewhere entirely unexpected.
The third occurs thousands of years in the future on a distant planet, when a despicable libertine finally gets what he deserves as he is thrust into a winding murder mystery. The trail ultimately puts him on a journey across the universe in search of redemption, and into the troubled life of an angel named Mary.
