Phonics of the Promise (Level 1): Early Reading Through God's Word (K-2) is a gentle, faith-centered phonics book that helps young learners become confident readers while staying rooted in the first truths of Scripture.
Built as the literacy companion to God Made Everything in the Judeo-Christian Foundations Series, this book teaches children how to sound out words, read simple sentences, and complete short decodable stories using creation-language from Genesis and covenant-language from Noah-words like God, good, light, day, night, land, sea, tree, love, pray, help, rest, promise, and again.
Each unit is designed for short daily lessons and includes:
A clear phonics focus (letter sounds, blends, patterns)
Sight words and word practice
Simple Bible-based sentences and decodable readings
Kid-friendly meaning questions to build comprehension
Gentle Hebrew seed words (like Elohim, Or, Shabbat, Teivah, Keshet) to connect children to Scripture's roots
Optional GemachAI prompts so families can generate extra practice on demand
