No. This may be the end of a season, the end of an illusion, the end of a false identity, the end of an old structure, or the end of who you used to be - but it is not the end of what God is writing.
Before the oil is understood, the vessel must be prepared.
Before the anointing is revealed, the ending must be interpreted.
Before Joseph stood in Pharaoh's court, he went through the pit, betrayal, slavery, accusation, prison, and delay.
Before David wore the crown, he was anointed but hunted, hidden in caves, tested by Saul, and formed in the wilderness.
Before Moses returned to confront Pharaoh, he passed through failure, exile, hidden shepherding, holy ground, fear, and divine sending.
Before Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit, He was declared beloved, led into the wilderness, tempted at the edge of hunger, and strengthened after holy resistance.
The End... So Far is not a book about pretending pain is good. It is a book about refusing to let pain become the final author.
Through the GCB framework, Dr. Justin Goldston examines endings as places of spiritual diagnosis and reconstruction. The question is not only, What happened to me? The deeper questions are:
What spirit is speaking?
What system is operating?
What wound is interpreting this?
What bondage must break?
What must be reconstructed?

The wilderness is real, but it is not your name.
The ending prepares the vessel.
The anointing reveals the assignment.
