Does your child worry when things don't go exactly right?
Arlo has a head full of hums and a heart full of hops. He loves to build, bake, and blend! But Arlo has a problem: he wants everything he makes to be perfect. When his tall sandcastle collapses into a lumpy hill and his beautiful finger painting turns into a brown smudge, Arlo feels his bottom lip start to tremble.
But with a little help from his friend Marisol, Arlo discovers a wonderful secret. A broken castle isn't a failure-it's a Drip Dragon's cave! A brown paint smudge isn't a mistake-it's a Magic Mud Monster!
The Perfect Mess is a vibrant, joyful story that helps children:
Let Go of Perfectionism: Learn that perfect isn't the same as fun.
Build Resilience: Discover how to bounce back when things ker-plop.
Foster Creativity: See the world with fresh eyes and turn muddles into masterpieces.
Develop a Growth Mindset: Understand that every mistake is just a brand-new way to start.
Whether it's misshapen cookies that look like shooting stars or flour clouds in the kitchen, Arlo and Marisol show readers that the best kind of fun usually starts with a little bit of a mess.
