What happens when a ghost is more afraid of the night than you are?
Barnaby is a ghost who lives in a cozy, creaky attic. He is excellent at floating and very good at whispering, but he has a secret: Barnaby is afraid of the dark. While other ghosts wait for the moon to rise so they can boo, Barnaby prefers the golden glow of the afternoon and his star-shaped nightlight.
One night, the wind howls and the lights go out, forcing Barnaby to face the long, purple shadows he fears so much. On his journey through the old blue house, he meets a boy named Silas who is also clutching a flashlight and feeling small.
Join Barnaby and Silas as they discover:
A New Perspective: Realizing that scary shadows can look like fuzzy monsters or friendly giants when you have someone to laugh with.
Hidden Magic: Discovering that the darkness isn't just an empty space-it's a home for blinking fireflies and a canvas for the Milky Way.
The Strength of Friendship: Learning that being afraid is a lot less lonely when you have a friend to talk to.
Finding Inner Light: Seeing that the most beautiful lights in the world-like stars-can only be seen when it is dark.
This sweet and whimsical tale is the perfect bedtime story for children who are nervous about the bumps in the night. It reminds us all that the dark isn't something to hide from, but a place where new kinds of magic can be found.
