Percy soars above Pelican Bay, proudly known as Percy the Protector since saving the flock from an alligator. As young pelicans practice their dives, Percy encourages them-especially a small, nervous pelican named Pip, who worries he might fail.
But Percy soon spots something troubling far out over the water. Dark clouds gather, the wind begins to blow harder, and thunder rumbles in the distance. Looking through his glasses, Percy realizes the danger is far greater than the others believe-the tide is rushing in, and their nests will soon be underwater.
While some of the older pelicans dismiss his warning, Percy acts quickly. Urging the flock to follow him, he leads them away from the shoreline and up to the safety of tall rocky cliffs. Moments later, the waves crash over their nests, proving Percy was right.
Just as the flock begins to settle, Percy hears a faint cry for help.
Pip has been blown off course by the storm.
Lost in the wind and rain, Pip struggles to stay in the air as the waves churn below. Without hesitation, Percy flies back into the storm. Using his sharp vision and steady courage, he searches through the darkness until he finds Pip.
Fighting the powerful winds, Percy guides Pip through the storm, shielding him and leading him safely back to the cliffs.
When the storm finally passes, the flock cheers-Percy has once again saved them all. Inspired by Percy's bravery, Pip finds new confidence, and the pelicans rebuild their nests on higher ground.
High above Pelican Bay, Percy and Pip stand watch-ready to protect their friends whenever needed.
