Peace in the Thunderstorm gathers twelve years of recovered writing shaped by grief, isolation, rebellion, love, uncertainty, and the search for belonging.
Written across the author's youth, early twenties, and beyond, these works capture a period of life marked by the loss of his mother, the discovery of his own neurodivergence, shifting political and personal convictions, anxiety, post-traumatic stress, rejection, hope, and the difficult process of understanding who he was becoming.
The collection moves freely between poetry, lyrics, short fiction, storytelling, and raw personal expression. Its influences are equally restless: heavy metal and rap collide with arena rock, black metal, pop, folk, gothic imagery, working-class Americana, religion, mythology, and the music that helped shape a young writer's understanding of the world.
Rather than rewriting the past from the safety of adulthood, Peace in the Thunderstorm preserves it.
The writing can be tender or furious, restrained or excessive, reflective or unapologetically juvenile. Its imperfections belong to the people, places, emotions, and moments that produced them. Organized into thematic families, the collection allows those different voices to exist beside one another-not as a polished reconstruction of who the author wishes he had been, but as a record of who he actually was.
