What are the real differences between the teachings of Jesus and the theology of the Apostle Paul?
Jesus preached the Kingdom of God, repentance, mercy, forgiveness, and faithfulness to the commandments. Paul placed the death and resurrection of Christ, justification by faith, liberation from the Jewish Law, and the salvation of the Gentiles at the center of his gospel. Rather than relying on isolated Bible verses, the book examines the larger theological systems created by each body of teaching while acknowledging agreements, ambiguities, disputed interpretations, and serious counterevidence.
The investigation considers some of the most consequential questions in Christian origins:
Did Jesus believe the Torah would remain binding?
Did Paul teach salvation differently from Jesus?
Was blood atonement central to Jesus's public message, or did it become central through later interpretation?

Why did some Torah-observant Jewish Christians reject Paul?
Did Paul invent Christianity, or did he systematize and universalize ideas that were already developing within the early Jesus movement?
Drawing upon New Testament scholarship, early Christian history, biblical criticism, Jewish-Christian traditions, patristic sources, and the surviving letters of Paul, the book reaches a carefully calibrated conclusion. Paul did not originate every element of Christian theology, but he became its decisive architect by transforming scattered beliefs about Jesus into the first coherent theology of a universal, law-free Gentile religion.
