Paul and Virginia is a classic novel by the French author Bernadin De Saint-Pierre. It tells the story of two childhood friends, Paul and Virginia, who grow up together on the island of Mauritius. The novel explores their idyllic childhood, their deep friendship, and their eventual romantic feelings for one another. However, their love is tested when a hurricane devastates the island, and they are forced to confront the harsh realities of life. The novel is a poignant exploration of love, loss, and the beauty of nature. It is often regarded as one of the greatest works of French literature and has been translated into many languages. The conversation was gentle and innocent as the repasts. Paul often talked of the labours of the day, and those of the morrow. He was continually forming some plan of accommodation for their little society. Here he discovered that the paths were rough; there that the family circle was ill seated: sometimes the young arbours did not afford sufficient shade, and Virginia might be better pleased elsewhere. This scarce antiquarian book is a facsimile reprint of the old original and may contain some imperfections such as library marks and notations. Because we believe this work is culturally important, we have made it available as part of our commitment for protecting, preserving, and promoting the world's literature in affordable, high quality, modern editions, that are true to their original work.
