While each book stands on its own, it is a continuing storyline and growth of the characters. I highly recommend that you start with book one. You won't be sorry.
After a global war and EMP attacks, the world isPlunged Into Darkness. A solar flare or the intentional detonation of a nuclear device at high altitudes has the potential to create an Electromagnetic Pulse (EMP) and cause unparalleled destruction. Many experts believe an EMP event in a civilized country, whether from the sun or man-made, would claim the lives of 90% of its population within the first year. This is the story of one group's survival. When Chris Alvise is warned of a possible EMP attack and global war, he rallies several prepper families, and they prepare to move to his ranch in Wyoming. Soon after, the world goes dark. There will be no deliveries of food or medicine. No electricity. No running water. Within days, gangs form. Small towns, desperate to protect themselves from thieves and disease, deny entry or passage through their communities. Chris and his troop are forced to fight their way from Georgia to Wyoming. Their new life denies them much-even time for mourning the loss of loved ones. Hudson Ranch becomes legendary as they learn and teach others the true meaning of survival.
