This book is a standalone novel; however, I would describe it as a 'cousin' book to my previously published work Soul Path. Soul Path attempts to describe self-discovery as seen from a human standpoint, whereas The Pathfinder views awareness from a decidedly non-human perspective. This may be disturbing to some as the central character in the book isn't really a character at all, nor is it a presence, vague or otherwise, as we would normally think of such a thing. It is however so vast that it gives an impression of evil to those who encounter it. The truth is that it is completely indifferent to human endeavour or emotion, and this challenges the secondary characters in the story- in fact pushes some of them to the edge of their sanity. The story itself- how a former teacher sends a pupil on a voyage of alien discovery- raises more questions than it answers. Then again, this is not a human narrative, but a comparative tale of our own microscopic size in the greater scheme of things. Enjoy!
