More than just an entertaining story of artistry and change, the underlying theme of seeking and finding abundant life in Jesus Christ is presented to children in parable form. Children learn what a parable is, and relate to Scripture about the changes and blessings which come to those who seek Him. Kandu, a curious toucan, eagerly responds to glimpses of light and color in his dark rainforest home. He follows a dancing sunbeam to a bright meadow where he is wonderfully transformed by his discoveries. His friends are excited, and beg him to show them the place where they, too, can be changed. The Parable's explanation and related Bible verses are revealed at the end of the story, adding depth and richness to the happy tale. Captivating language and brilliant colors appropriately emphasize the vitality of this timeless message that both children and adults will enjoy reading again and again.
