Multiface - in the vocabulary of Paloma Varga Weisz, this term stands for richness of facets, multiple perspectives, and the poetic quality inherent in her work. The title points to a mode of thinking in layers and shifts in perspective that underlies her artistic practice. At the core of her oeuvre are questions of human existence, memory, and emotional depth. This book is published on the occasion of the exhibition Multiface , which was presented in 2024/2025 at the Kestner Gesellschaft in Hanover as the most comprehensive show of her work to date. It is not a traditional exhibition catalogue, but rather an artist's book that brings together watercolors, drawings, and sculptures from various phases of her career. An extensive visual section makes the multilayered nature of Paloma Varga Weisz's work tangible. With a keen sensitivity to corporeality, symbolism, and historical references, she has developed a distinctive artistic language. The book was created in close collaboration with the artist and mirrors the exhibition's multiplicity of perspectives.
